Shortstop Alliyah Wharton is batting .667 with 17 RBI and 10 runs scored for Port Clinton.

Center fielder Kenzie Martinez scored 13 runs, including one home run. Wharton has two triples and one home run.

Wharton had a two-run triple in a 7-2 setback Thursday to Margaretta in the Sandusky Bay Conference Bay Division.

Jandi Torres allowed three earned runs for Port Clinton.

Mariah Fields struck out 10 and walked four, allowing six hits for the Polar Bears' victory. Ellie Belak and Ellianna Young had two RBI apiece and Mia Kane scored two runs.

Left fielder Cam Schmitt is a key batter for Port Clinton. Addi Siefke plays catcher, Marissa Frohne third base and Olivia Emerson second base.
