Kerkhoven man injured Monday morning after motorcycle hits deer near Raymond

Sep. 27—RAYMOND — A Kerkhoven man was injured early Monday morning in a motorcycle crash near Raymond, according to a news release from the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.

According to the release, Joshua Jurek, 42, suffered non-life-threatening injuries after his vehicle collided with a deer. He was transported to Carris Health — Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

He was traveling southbound on County Road 7 when the animal entered the roadway around 135th Avenue Southwest.

Raymond Ambulance and Fire Department also responded to the incident reported at 4:51 a.m. Monday.
