Kerry Cronin named new director of Wiggin Memorial Library in Stratham

STRATHAM — The Wiggin Memorial Library recently announced the hiring of its new library director, Kerry Cronin.

A library professional with almost 30 years of experience, Cronin most recently served as the director of the nearby Newmarket Public Library.

“I have long admired the innovative services at the Wiggin Memorial Library and am thrilled to have been selected to lead this vibrant community library,” said Cronin. “In the coming months, I look forward to meeting many residents, hearing their ideas for services, and collaborating with the dedicated library staff and Board of Trustees to deliver on those expectations.”

Cronin holds a Master of Public Administration from Suffolk University and a Master of Library Science from Rutgers University. Her undergraduate degree in English is from the University of New Hampshire.

During her career, Cronin headed the Concord, Massachusetts, Free Public Library and the Rye Public Library.

“The Board of Trustees is thrilled to welcome Kerry to the library,” said Board Chair Susan Wilbur. “We are so impressed with her passion and dedication to libraries and her track record of community involvement. We look forward to her leadership in continuing to provide excellent services to our community.”

The library will formally introduce Cronin to the community on Monday, Feb.13, with a small reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
