Kerry Katona has revealed her upset over the fact she may not see her daughter Molly until 2021 as they spend several months apart.

Amid travel restrictions due to the coronavirus, her eldest child is also currently at university in Dublin and will spend her Christmas with her dad Brian McFadden's family.

Writing in her new! column Katona, 40, said: "She's at uni in Dublin so she'll be staying in Ireland and, seeing as she spends every other Christmas with her dad's family out there, I won't be seeing her until next year!

"I know she's finding the prospect of it really hard and so am I. That girl is my best friend and the thought of not being able to hug her until 2021 is hideous.

"We're gonna be doing a lot of video calls to make up for it!"

Current lockdown rules in England state that only essential travel should be taken. Meanwhile in Ireland, people may only go up to 5km away from their homes.

Molly, 19, is one of the two children Katona shares with McFadden, 40. Their younger daughter is 17-year-old Lilly-Sue.

She's currently engaged to Ryan Mahoney after he popped the question during a family holiday to Spain.

At the time, Katona said she felt she had “waited my whole life to get to this point”.
