A toxicology report released Monday by the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Pittsburgh Steelers and former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins was intoxicated when a dump truck hit and killed him on a Florida interstate earlier this year.

According to the report, the driver of the dump truck, who is not identified, said he was driving in the darkness when "all the sudden a male appeared standing in his travel lane." In addition, authorities said Haskins was also "partially contacted" by a second vehicle as it attempted to swerve around him.

The report noted that ketamine was detected in his urine at the time of death, though no drugs were detected in his blood. In addition, the report indicated that norketamine, a metabolite to ketamine, was also found in his system.

The medical examiner's office determined that Haskins had a blood-alcohol concentration of at least 0.20% at the time of his autopsy, more than double the legal limit in Florida of .08%.

Haskins' death has been ruled an accident, according to the autopsy report released Monday, with the cause of death listed as "multiple blunt force injuries." He was 24.

What is Ketamine? Is Ketamine used for depression?

The painkiller Ketamine can be used as a sedative or treatment for depression, but it's also known as a "club drug" that can produce "dissociative sensations and hallucinations," according to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Ketamine first caught interest as a counterculture drug in the 1970s and re-emerged as a club drug "Special K" in the 2000s.

But advocates currently say the drug is used in the treatment of severe mental health disorders, including depression and schizophrenia, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and bipolar disorders.

According to the Associated Press, the Pittsburgh Steelers told investigators that Haskins had no mental health issues and had never made any suicidal threats. They acknowledged he sometimes drank heavily and sometimes used marijuana, but was not known to use any other recreational drugs.
