Kettering Health to offer free hand surgery to uninsured residents on ‘Hand Day Dayton’

For the fifth straight year Kettering Health will host Hand Day Dayton, an extension of Touching Hands, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand’s humanitarian mission.

Kettering Health’s Hand Center will offer free hand surgery for uninsured or underinsured Dayton-area residents at the Washington Township location on September 18, according to a release from a Kettering Health spokesperson.

“Being recognized by the American Society for Surgery of the Hand as an official Hand Day Site is a great honor, and we look forward to serving the uninsured in the Dayton community once again through this event.” said Kettering Health Hand Surgeon, Adam Dann.

To be eligible for surgery, residents must not have medical insurance, be underinsured or have one of these conditions:

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Cubital tunnel syndrome

  • De Quervain’s tenosynovitis

  • Trigger finger

  • Mucous cysts

  • Ganglion cysts
