Kevin Bacon lands next lead TV role
Kevin Bacon has been cast in a new horror drama series about an undead bounty hunter.
According to Deadline, the Footloose star will head up The Bondsman, a new Amazon Prime Video series about a former bounty hunter who's raised from the dead.
The Bondsman will centre around Hub Halloran, portrayed by Bacon, who gets a second chance at life – only to find that his old job now has a "demonic" new twist.

The series is based on an original idea from creator Grainger David while Erik Oleson will serve as showrunner. Oleson previously served as a showrunner on Season 3 of Marvel's Daredevil.
Amazon has ordered eight half-hour episodes of the show, however, production won't begin until after the ongoing WGA writers' strike is resolved.
Bacon is no stranger to horror having starred as Jack in the original Friday the 13th in 1980.

Over the years, he has solidified himself as a horror icon, starring in classics such as Flatliners, Tremors, and more.
In an interview with Looper in August 2022, Bacon revealed his love for the horror genre, as he revealed: "I'm a fan myself. I'm a consumer of it. If a new horror film piques my interest, I'm front and centre opening weekend.
"I like the experience because when I go to a movie as a consumer, I want to feel things. Whatever it is, I want to feel things deeply. You can feel sad. You can get tears coming out of your eyes.
"You can laugh hysterically. You can jump. You can get scared. You can get creeped out. You can walk out of the theater with an uneasy feeling. These are feelings, and I like that."
A release date for The Bondsman is yet to be announced.
