Kevin Durant is the newest voice to join the hype surrounding Iowa Hawkeyes’ star guard Caitlin Clark and the magical run that has the Hawkeyes in the Final Four.

Durant went on his podcast, “The ETCs,” to discuss what the Hawkeyes are doing and didn’t hesitate to stamp his knowledge on what is happening.

Durant’s podcast stems from Boardroom, a news outlet covering anything from sports to culture to entertainment that was founded by Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman in 2019. Hearing Durant talk about the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team and what is happening highlights just how national the attention is that they are demanding. Durant joins LeBron James — not only two of the best basketball players on the planet — but in recent talks surrounding Caitlin Clark.

Their recent podcast discusses the Hawkeyes’ performance, Caitlin Clark, their team comradery and more. Check out Durant’s thoughts on the Hawkeyes as the tip against No. 1 South Carolina in the Final Four approaches.

As a star NBA player, Durant knows it takes more than one to get the job done and he knows Iowa has the entire team to do it. He made note of Iowa’s collection of shooters.

“She’s getting her teammates involved, they got so many shooters. I watched them play Louisville and the way they moved the ball and played off of her was just perfect. They all got an opportunity to shine,” Durant opened things up with regarding Iowa.

Kevin Durant was asked about what Caitlin Clark has done lately, and he did not mince words about what she is doing.

“She’s advanced, man. She can do a lot out there. She’s making the right plays. She can draw so much attention. And she is just baitin’ the defense in while still making a cross-court pass,” Durant had to say about the type of player that Clark is.

“It’s their first Final Four in a long time. So for them to rally around a player like that, it’s fun to see,” Durant continued when appreciating Clark’s play.

Iowa’s starting five of Caitlin Clark, Monika Czinano, Gabbie Marshall, Kate Martin and McKenna Warnock have played together more than 90 times. Kevin Durant knows just how important that is.

“That’s just being together for a few years, getting to know one another, and at this point, they’re mature enough to go out there and dominate games like they’ve been doing so it’s going to be a good Final Four,” Durant mentioned when describing the Hawkeyes as a whole.

South Carolina still is 36-0 and Durant knows their talent is just as good. He didn’t forget about the Gamecocks and what this highly anticipated game will look like.

“South Carolina, they’re a well-oiled machine, too,” Durant finished, only growing the hype for this matchup.
