The Nets may be out of the playoffs, but after a series of jaw-dropping performances, Kevin Durant leads HoopsHype’s latest playoff MVP rankings. Durant was on another level despite the Nets struggling to stay healthy. But how well did the two-time champion really play?

Well, the Nets forward was an absolute bucket for the past two weeks, averaging 34.3 PPG on 51.4 percent shooting. He didn’t stop there though, he was a presence in the interior, grabbing 9.3 RPG. If you thought this was enough, think again. The 32-year-old was causing havoc defensively by picking out 1.5 SPG and blocking 1.6 shots a game.

The most memorable game for Durant was Game 5, where he nearly cracked 50 by putting up 49 points in a win. KD also finished with a triple-double, grabbing 17 boards along with 10 assists. To put the icing on the cake, he hit a dagger three on Khris Middleton. That capped off his best playoff performance ever.

The debate for the best player in the world is heating up and saying Durant just put us on notice is an understatement. It’s time to start accepting the truth. And there’s more to come.
