The Phoenix Suns have never won an NBA title.

They went 64-18 in the regular season last season, the best record in the NBA.

They are the preferred trade destination for Kevin Durant, who has requested a trade from the Brooklyn Nets.

But, according to a recent story, Phoenix evidently isn’t an "interesting" enough team to land the NBA superstar.

The Ringer did a story on the "most interesting outcome of the Kevin Durant saga" and six writers shared what they felt would be the most interesting result of Durant's situation.

One of them had Durant remaining in Brooklyn as the most interesting result.

Another had him going to the Boston Celtics as the answer. Another went with him being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Another? The Golden State Warriors.

Yet another picked the Memphis Grizzlies as the most interesting outcome, while the final one went with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Not one writer picked the Phoenix Suns as their most interesting destination for Durant, despite the team still being among the favorites to land him in recent odds for his next team.

Apparently, a potential starting lineup of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, Deandre Ayton and anyone else just doesn't move the needle for some NBA writers.

In one writer's defense, he did mention the Suns, but picked the Nets retaining Durant as the most interesting outcome for the star.

His reasoning? "We know more or less what it would mean for him to join the Suns."

Rob Mahoney wrote: "As it turns out, the most fascinating outcome of a trade request from one of the best players in the sport is to get no real resolution at all. Adding KD to any team would vault them up the competitive ranks, giving instant credibility to their championship dreams. We know more or less what it would mean for him to join the Suns or the Heat or even the Celtics. What we don’t know is whether him starting the season in Brooklyn would mean anything at all. As we kicked around potential trade packages that would send Durant to this team or that, maybe we ignored the escape hatch that could lead to some kind of appeasement. There could still be a way for KD to be content as a Net—or maybe just to appear so as he plays out his partnership with the team, with all involved waiting out the perfect return."

That was the only mention of Phoenix in the entire story.

A lot of people disagreed with the Ringer's take.

They reacted to the Suns not being an "interesting" destination for Durant on social media.
