Richmond Hill Players continues its 2022 season with Here Lies Jeremy Troy, a comedy by Jack Sharkey. The show will be presented Thursdays through Sundays, June 2-12 at the Barn Theatre in Geneseo.

Law clerk Jeremy Troy is up for a partnership when he is visited by an old school chum, Charlie Bickle, who lives by sponging off of his former classmates. Discovering Jeremy’s law degree is a fraud, Charlie blackmails him into putting him up for the night, the very night the head of his law firm is coming for dinner. Jeremy’s wife walks out, and so a model is hired to play the wife’s part, but she is a dumb beauty whose attempts to help backfire.  Then the situation becomes even more complicated when Jeremy’s wife unexpectedly returns.

The cast features Matt McConville (Geneseo); Patrick Kelly (Kewanee); Emmalee Hillburn (Hillsdale), Elizabeth Shaffer (Moline) and Jim Harris (Coal Valley).

Dana Skiles (Geneseo) directs the show. The staff includes stage manager Megan McConville, set builder Mike Skiles, lighting designer Jennifer Kingry, sound designer Larry Lord, tech booth operator Dana Skiles, crew person Colin McConville (all of Geneseo) and set builder Jim Skiles (Colona).

Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m.  Sundays are 3 pm matinees with the doors opening at 2 p.m.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling the Richmond Hill box office at 309-944-2244 or by visiting the website at rhplayers.com. Late seating is not permitted; no one will be admitted to the theater after the show has started.  Admission to all performances is $12.
