Here is a developing list of major auto racing events around Wisconsin in 2022, weighted toward the Milwaukee area. (The farther away an event is, the bigger it has to be to crack the list.) Factors considered include history, prestige, scope and purse.

Sept. 23: IRA Sprints, Dodge County Fairgrounds, Beaver Dam

Sept. 24: IRA Sprints, season finale, Plymouth Dirt Track, Sheboygan County Fairgrounds.

Sept. 25: TUNDRA Super Late Models, Round 6, Dells Raceway Park

Oct. 6-9: Oktoberfest races, including ARCA Midwest Tour Oktoberfest 200 season finale, La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, West Salem
