Keyser man arrested in Garrett County traffic stop

Dec. 18—OAKLAND — A Keyser, West Virginia, man was arrested Thursday when he was stopped by deputies for alleged traffic violations, according to the Garrett County Sheriff's Office.

William Joseph Harvey, 43, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant from Frederick County and bench warrants issued for violation of probation and failure to appear in court.

Harvey was also charged with drug possession offenses as the result of a K-9 scan leading to discovery of fentanyl, methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia in his possession at the time of the arrest, police said.

Following a bond hearing, Harvey was granted pre-trial release.
