KFC Now Has French Fries Dusted With Its 11 Herbs and Spices

KFC confirmed that these fries are indeed real and they are being testing at a KFC (maybe!) near you.
Customers at participating KFCs in Roanoke, VA, and Oklahoma City, OK, can enjoy these Secret Recipe fries a la carte. In addition, they can be a $5 Fill Up option for Roanoke customers and made part of the Tenders & Fries Bucket Combo for Oklahoma City customers.
The fries are available in 200 additional locations, and you can see if your restaurant is participating here. Look for the words "Secret Recipe Fries" under the specific location. (Chicken) fingers crossed they become available everywhere soon because mama loves a spicy fry. Is it weird to call yourself mama? Unclear.

Fried chicken and French fries have long been enjoyed together in harmony, so that's why it's surprising that KFC has stayed out of the fry game so long. Sure, there are potato wedges, but soon, you may very well be able to enjoy a crunchy (spicy!) French fry with your bucket of KFC.
Customers have recently spotted Secret Recipe Fries being served at select KFC restaurants. These are apparently fries that have been dusted in the Colonel's iconic and secret 11 herbs and spices. Ya know, the stuff that goes on your delicious fried chicken?
Peter Pham at FOODBEAST recently tracked the fries down and gave them a pretty glowing review, though he did say that he could have used a bit more flavor. He likened them to Popeyes cajun fries which, from the look of them, seems pretty spot on.

KFC actually offers fries in many locations outside of the US. While currently, they're mostly unseasoned (though KFC UAE has loaded fries!), the chain has also served spicy fries called Zinger Fries abroad in the past (which is what you see pictured above). They appear to be largely discontinued world-wide, but the passion was so great for these fries that when they were discontinued in the UK, there was a petition to bring them back. If the Secret Recipe Fries are anything similar, and they appear to be, it seems like we can expect great things.
No word on when and if KFC will be launching these Secret Recipe Fries across the US (or abroad) but KFC did confirm to Delish that they were being tested in select stores. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled at your local store!
