Kherson region: ATO veteran Nazar Kahalniak died from torture inflicted by invaders

After the ATO, Nazar survived two heart attacks and a complex heart operation. The occupiers kidnapped the man from his home, beat him severely and tortured him for being a former combatant." Details : According to Denisova, the invaders brought Kahalniak home, mutilated by torture. His condition deteriorated critically; the man was taken to hospital in the city of Oleshky, where he died. The Ombudswoman added that consequently the ATO veteran's two children had been left orphaned, as he has raised them alone for the last 5 years. Denisova called on the UN Commission for the Investigation of Human Rights Violations Committed During the Russian Attack on Ukraine to take into account these war crimes committed by the Russian Federation, as well as human rights violations in Ukraine.
