A library in the city of Kherson has suffered massive damage following a Russian strike on Oct. 30, regional deputy council head Yuriy Sobolevsky revealed, sharing photos of burnt books and destroyed shelves on Facebook.

The shelling caused a fire in the building, which destroyed the reading room, bookshelves, and numerous books. Kherson itself has been under constant Russian assault since its liberation by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in November 2022.
