KHSAA Class 4A football final: Boyle County tops Johnson Central for 2nd straight title
Jagger Gillis threw two touchdown passes and rushed for two more scores to lead the Boyle County High School football team to a 30-13 victory over Johnson Central on Friday in the Class 4A state championship game.
A crowd of 7,658 at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field saw Boyle County (14-1) win its 10th state title and second in a row.
Gillis carried 23 times for 131 yards and completed 6 of 9 passes for 131 yards. Avery Bodner added 154 yards on 16 carries, and Cole Lanter had five catches for 116 yards and two scores.

Johnson Central’s Zach McCoart carried nine times for 111 yards. Chase Price and Grant Rice added touchdown runs for the Golden Eagles (12-3).
