Kick off summer early at Adventureland Park this Memorial Day weekend. The Altoona theme park is making an even bigger splash for the holiday weekend with a special concert featuring Atlanta's own singer, songwriter and hip-hop artist CeeLo Green.

The five-time Grammy Award-winning entertainer and former coach on NBC's "The Voice" will perform on Saturday, May 27, at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the concert is included with a ticket to the park that day.

The singer is probably best known for his single with Gnarls Barkley, "Crazy," and his solo single "F--- You"

Green appeared as a judge and coach on the American reality television singing competition "The Voice" for four seasons. He also acted in his own show, "CeeLo Green's The Good Life," on TBS.

More: Where to go and what to know for Adventureland Park's 2023 season, including two new rides

Adventure Bay water park opens the same day at 11 a.m.

Adventureland Park opened for the season on May 6. This season brings two new rides to the park: a roller coaster and the return of the log ride.

Draken Falls log ride will end with a 40-foot drop, but will also include an aerial panoramic turnaround and an airtime hill, a park official said. Passengers in six-person boats go up 40 feet in the air during the six-minute ride that follows a 1,214-foot-long track and reaches a speed of roughly 33 mph.

Adventureland's seventh roller coaster, The Flying Viking, will rise to 50 feet in the air and reach speeds of up to 26 miles per hour. The family-friendly coaster includes twists, turns, and drops.

Both rides potentially open by the end of the month.

More concerts on the way
