Kickin' It in Northborough: Kickball tourney a huge success for Mission Win, Special Olympics Mass.

NORTHBOROUGH — Kickin’ It – Kickball Tournament with Mission Win in collaboration with Special Olympics Massachusetts was held for the first time last month.

The event took place at the New England Baseball Complex, and featured games, food, prizes and plenty of kickball.

Each team participated in three-inning kickball games with 10 people per team plus Special Olympian athletes.

One team was the Chicken Kickers so called because it was comprised of employees from the Westborough Chick-fil-A who played and supported fellow employee and special olympian Danny Eaton of Leicester.

Athletes Paul Peraino of Shrewsbury and Donovan Antinarella of Leominster also joined the team. The Chicken Kickers held their own against the Wilmington-based 3STEP Sports team, Kicking Assets.
