District 7-2A Division II Prediction

1. Windthorst

2. Archer City

3. Seymour

4. Haskell

5. Petrolia

6. Electra

7. Munday

Windthorst lost a lot of talent from a 12-2 region finalist team. But the Trojans still have some good ones, and they should battle Archer City for the league crown in a district that boasts another tough team in Seymour.

The Trojans return four starters on both sides of the ball.

Archer City has a new coach but a wealth of talent from an 8-3 team that went 5-0 in district. The Wildcats return 20 players, including six starters on offense and five on defense.

Seymour reloads with 10 returning starters on both offense and defense from a 7-5 area finalist team.

Haskell should battle Electra for that fourth and final playoff spot.

The Indians have 17 players back, including seven starters on both sides of the ball, from a 4-7 team. The key for Haskell will be finding a good quarterback to play behind a strong offensive line. The drop from Class 2A Division I should help the Indians, but they drew a tough district.

Electra returns 16 players with five starters back on both offense and defense from a 4-6 team.

Munday has a new coach in Webb Murphy, who gets his first head coaching job after serving as an assistant at Abilene Wylie. The Moguls, one of the smallest 11-man programs with 73 students, were 0-10 last season.
