Kickoff time, TV network announced for Boise State’s home game against Wyoming

The Boise State football team’s home game against Wyoming on Oct. 28 will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and air on Fox Sports 2, the Mountain West announced Monday.

The Broncos (3-4, 2-1 Mountain West) are coming off a shocking loss to Colorado State. The Rams trailed by 20 with 6:12 left to play and rallied for a 31-30 win with a Hail Mary touchdown pass in the final seconds. They also recovered an onside kick during the comeback.

Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty posted a career-high 212 rushing yards and scored three touchdowns in the loss.

Wyoming (5-2, 2-1) is coming off a heartbreaking loss of its own. The Cowboys’ showdown against undefeated conference foe Air Force was tied late in the fourth quarter, but Falcons running back John Lee Eldridge III scored on a 58-yard touchdown run with a little more than 2 minutes to play, and Air Force held on to win 34-27.

Boise State leads its all-time series against Wyoming 16-1 and has won six games in a row in the series. The lone loss came in 2016, when the Broncos fell 30-28 on a late safety. Wyoming’s starting quarterback that day was Josh Allen, the current Buffalo Bills star.

The Broncos are on a bye this week, so the game against the Cowboys — also on a bye — is their next one. Only one Boise State game remaining on the schedule still needs a kickoff time and TV information: the Nov. 11 home contest against New Mexico (2-4, 0-2).

Regardless of what happens against Wyoming, the Broncos will enter November without a winning record for the second time in coach Andy Avalos’ three-year tenure. They were 4-4 entering that month in 2021 — finishing the season 7-5 — and that’s the best they could be this season.

Here’s the rest of the schedule, which also features Air Force (6-0) and Fresno State (6-1).
