TV channel, kickoff time set for Clemson vs. Notre Dame football game

The ACC has announced the kickoff time and TV channel for Clemson’s highly anticipated home game against No. 14 Notre Dame next Saturday.

The Tigers will kick off against the Fighting Irish at noon on ABC, the conference said Saturday. The game had previously been on a six-day hold pending this weekend’s games. The other option for Clemson-Notre Dame was 3:30 p.m. on ESPN.

Clemson lost 24-17 at NC State, falling to 4-4 and 2-4 in the ACC, and Notre Dame won 58-7 at Pitt to move to 7-2. Betting lines for the game should be released Sunday.

Clemson will play its fifth day game at home this season, a trend that stands out in contrast to rival South Carolina. The Tigers’ previous home games this season kicked off at 2:15 p.m. (Charleston Southern), 8 p.m. (FAU), noon (Florida State) and 3:30 p.m. (Wake Forest).

After playing just twice in the former school’s first 119 seasons of existence, Clemson and Notre Dame will meet for the sixth time in nine seasons Saturday. The Tigers lead the all-time series 4-3, including wins in the 2018 College Football Playoff semifinals and the 2020 ACC championship game.
