WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? – Chef with you tube channel, to teach everyone how to cook

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ONE THING ABOUT SCHOOL, WHAT WOULD IT BE? – More lunch time with my friends.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND HOW WOULD YOU USE IT TO CHANGE THE WORLD? – I would want to have the highest brain power, so I can solve everyone’s problems in the world.

Kara Eversdyke, eighth grade, Alliance Middle School – Kara is very studious and prompt with all assignments and work. She is very sweet and personable, and a great leader throughout the eighth grade.

Chandler Hollis, eighth grade, Alliance Middle School – Chandler is a hard worker and very cognitive about his grades and assignments. He is also a member of the golf and basketball teams and is passionate about his school.

Canton City

Haley Deible, sixth grade, Youtz – Haley is such a helpful, thoughtful, and hard-working student who has gone out of her way to tutor absent students and helps her teachers try new tech features in class. She is a wonderful student, and we look forward to seeing her every day!

Dominic Barrios Olivas, seventh grade, ECMS – Dominic is a hard worker and polite young man. He always participates in class.

Canton Local

Jaylah Robinson, sixth grader, Canton South Middle School – When it comes to hard work, respect, and an amazing personality, Jaylah has it all. She is a leader in the classroom and always gives her best effort.

Carter Ferrier, sixth grader, Canton South Middle School – Carter is a fantastic student! He is exceptionally hard-working and gives excellent effort. He comes to class with a smile, ready to learn, and is always willing to lend a hand when needed.

Fairless Local

Keerstein Conner, eighth grade, Fairless Middle School – Keerstein is a very sweet, hard-working student who is always going out of her way to help in any way she can. For being a new student to Fairless, she has blended in very well with her classmates and has quickly made many friends.

Devin LeGlise, sixth grade, Fairless Middle School – Devin is a hard-working young man who eagerly participates daily. He strives for academic success and is a role model for his peers.

Lake Center Christian School

Pyper Smilek, seventh grade – Pyper is a joy-filled student who is motivated, concerned by her peers, and loves to learn. She strives to attack each task with eagerness and thoughtfulness in the classroom.

Rain Evans, sixth grade – Rain Evans consistently displays a heart of compassion toward his peers and teachers. He has a desire to help when able and is quick to come alongside those in need. Rain is a hard worker in the classroom as well. He works to his capabilities and asks for help when needed. Rain is authentic, genuine, and persistent in his learning.

Lake Local

Kylie Harner, seventh grade, Lake Middle/High School – Kylie Harner is such a sweet, polite and joyful student. She values her character throughout the day, always considering her actions to be positive towards her classmates. She brings a pleasant kindness to the classroom with her every day with the respect she shows everyone. Kylie has the character to brighten the day of other students who are struggling in the classroom. She is an outstanding student of character.

Bryson Miller, seventh grade, Lake Middle/High School – Bryson Miller, whether on the football field, paintball field or playing in the orchestra, has the biggest heart for his fellow students and teammates. If every seat in a classroom was taken by a student that shares Bryson's character, integrity, leadership and humility, I would never want the dismissal bell to ring because I would have the best class in the world. Bryson is a perfect example of how kindness wins the hearts of others. He is genuinely such a positive role model to everyone around him and yet he is so humble to even realize his leadership role impacts so many. Bryson is an outstanding student of character.

Louisville

Lillian Costoff, fifth grade, Lexington – Lilly was selected for this year's first Kiwanis Student of the Month because she has started the year with a positive attitude, a great work ethic, and a helpful and kind demeanor. Lilly comes to school ready to learn and has been doing a great job participating in class activities.

Ayden Shafer, fifth grade, Lexington – Ayden has been on fire during the first month of school. Ayden has made sure that all his work is complete and turned in on time. He also has worked hard to get the highest score on his IXLs for math.

Massillon

Katie Smithhisler, eighth grade, Massillon Junior High School – Katie is a wonderful role model in our school. She is heavily involved with school activities, always comes to class ready to work and is a great member of her class. She is kind and patient, and we appreciate her very much!

Christian Williams, eighth grade, Massillon Junior High School – Christian is a hard-working, responsible, kind student. He always comes to class ready to excel. He is involved in lots of school activities and is a pleasure to have in class. His name was even mentioned to by a community member for being such a wonderful young man when she encountered him in her neighborhood!

Minerva Local

Harper LaHa, seventh grade, Minerva Middle School – Harper exemplifies The Three Pillars of Compassion, Responsibility and Respect. Harper is kind, brings the materials she needs to class and always does her best work, and she treats others with respect.

Kaygen DiMario, seventh grade, Minerva Middle School – Excellent responsibility in making sure he was all caught up and completing assignments to the best of his ability. Way to start your seventh-grade year.

North Canton

Guiliana Weirick, sixth grade, North Canton Middle School – Guiliana Weirick consistently demonstrates kindness and empathy toward her classmates, going out of her way to help those in need. Her dedication to her studies and commitment to teamwork in group projects make her a role model for her peers, embodying the true spirit of good character.

Gunnar Runkle, sixth grade, North Canton Middle School – Gunnar Runkle treats everyone with respect and fairness, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment at school. Gunnar's sense of responsibility is commendable; he takes his academics seriously and consistently demonstrates selflessness and a willingness to support others.

Northwest Local

Jamisyn Gohlike, eighth grade, Northwest Middle School – Jamisyn is an excellent student who is known for her maturity and for being responsible. She is a member of the school volleyball, basketball and track teams, and also plays soccer. She is the youngest of two children. Though Jamisyn is currently unsure of what she may study, she plans to attend college after high school. The youngest of two children, she enjoys having family game and movie nights with her families.

Nathan Ricker, eighth grade, Northwest Middle School – Nathan is an enthusiastic and dedicated student. He is an active participant during classroom activities and takes the lead in being kind to others. Nathan is a member of the middle school band, records video for the football team, and is actively involved with the Boy Scouts outside of school. He also hopes to one day attend college to study video editing and production.

Osnaburg Local

Breanna Magnus, eighth grade, East Canton Middle School – Breanna is a true advocate for not only herself, but everyone around her. She consistently exceeds expectations in all classes and is willing to put forth effort beyond the classroom and the volleyball court. The infectious smile that she wears upon her face is noticed by all as she is a friend to everyone she encounters. Striving to become better within her own academic realm, Breanna's work ethic sets the bar apart from others as she is taking higher-level courses and pushing herself beyond grade level. A true leader by nature, Breanna models what an ideal should be with her silent leadership.

Jacob Demyan, eighth grade, East Canton Middle School – Jacob is not only a leader within the classroom, but the football field as well. An older brother that does not take that role lightly and a true blue and gold hornet. You will often find Jacob in class working well with others and always willing to collaborate with classmates in order to share ideas and push himself academically. Always striving for perfection, Jacob never wants to make the same mistake twice, and that is a rare quality to find within an eighth-grade student. Looked up to by students within his grade level and even throughout the entire middle school, Jacob is a natural-born leader.

Perry Local

Isabella Marino, fifth grade, Pfeiffer Intermediate – Isabella is a very helpful, kind student. She embraces helping in any way she possibly can. Her ability to encourage others is such a positive trait.

Jack Norris, fourth grade, Watson Elementary – Jack is a hard-working student who always tries to do his best and makes good choices. We are so proud of Jack and his helpful demeanor.

Plain Local

Joselyn Federkall, sixth grade, Glenwood Intermediate School – Joselyn always has a smile on her face and strives to do her best every day. She is a leader in her classes and has been chosen as a mentor for her peers. She exceeds expectations and makes great choices. Her kindness and positive attitude are contagious, and we know she is going to do great things.

Samuel Foltz, eighth grade, Oakwood Middle School – Samuel Foltz is a student athlete participating in cross country, basketball, and track who is always caring and courteous toward everyone and is heavily involved with the Stark County St. Baldrick's Organization with his family. On an academic level, Sam monitors his grades closely, exhibits responsibility and strives for excellence.

Sandy Valley Local

Lilah Dyer, seventh grade, Sandy Valley Middle School – Lilah is a Kid of Character because she places emphasis on doing well in school. She is always working hard to do her best and is a role model for others. Her favorite subject is science, and she is a member of the Science Club. In her free time, she enjoys drawing and hopes to be a voice actor for children’s cartoons someday. We are excited to see what the future holds for Lilah!

Sebastian Starkey, seventh grade, Sandy Valley Middle School – Sebastian is nominated because he demonstrates the qualities of a good friend by being patient and helpful to anyone in need. He is always ready with a kind word and is kind to everyone in our building. Sebastian’s favorite subject is Reading and in his free time, he enjoys riding his bike and he hopes to study Criminal Justice in the future. We are very lucky to have Sebastian at SVMS!

St. Thomas Aquinas

Jiana Mohr, eighth grade, St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School – Jiana is kind, responsible, and respectful to her classmates and teachers. She is a leader for her class.

Averee Page, seventh grade, St. Thomas Aquinas Middle School – Averee is respectful, a good friend, and always engaged in activities for school. He demonstrates leadership and responsibility.

Stark County Catholic Elementary Schools

Grace Hout, eighth grade, St. Mary's – Graci is kind to everyone. She can always be found offering to play, giving help when it’s needed, and putting a smile on the face of anyone who needs it!

Paul Manson, eighth grade, St. Mary's – Paul is always willing to lend a helping hand, is focused on his academics and is a good friend to his peers.

Anastacia Evans, seventh grade, Tuslaw Middle School – Anastacia always demonstrates blue pride in all that she does. Anastacia is responsible, always prepared, willing to help out a friend, and a great role model for her peers.

Vinny Carmichael, seventh grade, Tuslaw Middle School – Vinny demonstrates blue pride throughout his whole day at Tuslaw Middle School. Vinny is always prepared, participating, and he is the first one to help a staff member or peer in need.

West Branch Local

Sonja Sanor, ninth grade, West Branch High School – Sonja is an especially kind and considerate young lady. At a recent cross country meet Sonja discovered a young girl from a neighboring district lost on the course. She stopped her own race and went to aid the young lady by running with her, encouraging her to finish the race. She continued to reassure the young lady by providing encouraging words, even though they were dead last. Sonja is always friendly and kind to all individuals and will brighten the day of anyone she encounters.
