Kid Rock's 'Bad Reputation' tour hits Nashville in May

"I don't give a damn about my bad reputation," Joan Jett famously sang — words that Kid Rock, clearly, has taken to heart.

The polarizing rocker/rapper/Lower Broadway baron will bring his just-announced "Bad Reputation Tour" to Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Saturday, May 21. Tickets go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, January 28.

He'll be joined by "Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening," a tribute led by the son of legendary Zeppelin drummer John Bonham.

Rock last performed at the arena in 2018 — shortly after he considered running for Senate, which turned out to be a publicity stunt — but he's made his presence known in Music City repeatedly since then.

Later in 2018, he opened his own honky tonk on Broadway, and was removed as Grand Marshal of Nashville's annual Christmas Parade due to calling "The View's" Joy Behar a "b----" during a Fox News appearance.

Last year, he made headlines after he was filmed using a homophobic slur at a bar in Smithville, Tenn. He used the word again in a subsequent tweet, adding that he "has a lot of love for his gay friends."

On the musical front, he reemerged last November with a new song and video, "Don't Tell Me How To Live."
