Kids and magic wands: More powerful than three wishes from Genie in the bottle
The Kids Page is a compilation of responses written by kindergarten through eighth-grade students from area schools. Students are asked a different question each month and answers are printed weekly.

Imaging this: You found a wand that’s magical. What would you do with it? Well, I would take it, find who it belongs to, and boom problem solved.
I found the wand and who it belongs to. Okay. Let’s say it was Callie’s and she said I could keep it. What would I do? Probably what you’re thing, magic. You’re asking what will I do? I would make me powerful, get all the powers in the world, and make it make me a robot to do my homework.
Now you know what I would do if I’d found a magical wand. What would you do? What I did?

I would want a dirtbike because I could jump ramps. Another reason is I could ride all over. The main reason why I want a dirtbike is that I could go to my grandma and grandpa’s house. I could also go to creeks. I would share it with my brother.

I would put the magic wand in a box and put the box under my bed. If I wanted something really bad I would say a spell and then I say what I want and it will come right on the floor. Why I like wands it is because you can have so much fun with it. I love magic wands so much.

I would wish for a four wheeler. I would wish for that because they sound cool and look fun. Then I would wish for a big shelf of Nikes. I wouldn’t wear them. I would just want them to look cool. Oh then 3000 pairs of Hey Dudes. Then a room full of Barbie dolls. Then all of the Dogman books in the world. Then for everyone to be rich.

I found a magic wand in the cafeteria. I grabbed the wand and the bright light was all around me. The wand turned me into Harry Potter. I say abracadabra and make my broom fly. The wand brings a stickman to life. I’ll turn the school into a magic school. The school wil do my homework. That’s what I would do if I found a magic wand.
