Jul. 15—HIGH POINT — The High Point Public Library will host a sign-up event for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its North Main Street location.

Karen K. and the Jitterbugs, who have been called a top kids act by the Boston Globe and New York Times, will perform in the Arts & Education Plaza from 11 a.m. to noon.

This event is free and open to the public.

Since launching in 1995, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has given away well over 90 million children's books in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and the United States.

The program mails over 1 million specially selected, age-appropriate books each month to registered children up to age 5.
