We all know the age-old saying, “Black don’t crack!” and Kiely Williams had a few choice words for those who continued the phrase in the Black community.

The former 3LW singer took to Instagram on Thursday and shared her grievance with Black people who told her the phrase growing up, Hollywood Unlocked reported.

“Brushing my hair would probably help,” the New Jersey native wrote in the post’s caption.

“I resent all the people that said Black don’t crack growing up, and led me to believe that because I was Black, that I wouldn’t crack,” she said.

Williams then realized she was one of the Black people who didn’t maintain their youthful looks, saying, “But you know what, I did, okay. I cracked. I cracked like a f**king fault line. I cracked like Pookie from New Jack City.”

The 36-year-old also blamed sleeping in makeup, spending long hours in the sun and eating whatever she wanted as factors in her appearance.

“It just caught up with me. And I thought, my Black don’t crack,” Williams admitted.

Fans attempted to make Williams feel better about herself by suggesting tips she could use to start over.

“You can bounce back girl. Do what you do best dance in the regular. Put that body to work. Make healthy food choices,” one user said.

“Girl all you need is some good rest and vitamins and water. Use a good skin care regimen. Im 38 and i take care of myself. Im fluffy too but fluffy and fine 🙌 idgaf lol,” another user said.

“Girl go to the gym and take care of yourself. Your skin don’t look like it cracked you just been “eating whatever you want”…🤔,” a third user said.

Blavity reported The Cheetah Girls star called out Drake and said he should apologize to Megan Thee Stallion after saying Spotify should give artists “bonuses like athletes.”

“Oh f**k off. It’s something like 1000 streams = 1 album sale. Go to bed, Aubrey. And apologize to Meg. Better yet, delete that whole album,” Williams said in a February 4 tweet.
