Killingly's Jack Richardson leads The Bulletin's wrestling all-star team

The Bulletin is proud to present its 2022-2023 Wrestling All Star Team. The honored wrestlers were consistently on our daily top performers lists during the regular season. The wrestlers were selected from Norwich Free Academy, Griswold/Wheeler, Killingly and Ellis Tech.

The Bulletin would like to thank all of the coaches, assistant coaches and athletic directors who faithfully reported team results and top performers to The Bulletin all season.

This year’s team is led by Killingly senior Jack Richardson, our Wrestler of the Year.

Wrestler of the Year - Jack Richardson, Killingly

Killingly senior Jack Richardson capped his outstanding high school career by becoming one of the most decorated athletes in school history after winning the Class S, State Open, and New England championships.

A member of Killingly’s Century Club, Richardson won his second straight Class S individual title while leading Killingly to the Class S state championship. He followed that by winning his first State Open title in New Haven and becoming the first Killingly wrestler to win two New England championships.

Richardson is continuing his career at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Alex Potapskiy, Senior, Killingly: ECC runner up.

Zaire Wallace, Junior, Norwich Free Academy: ECC runner up. Fourth at Class LL.

Kaden Ware, Senior, Killingly: Three-time ECC champion. Three-time Class S champion. State Open champion. Fourth at New Englands.

Brady Zadora, Sophomore, Killingly: Two-time ECC champion. Class S runner up.
