Kilo Kish Turns Into a Glamorous Puppet in Her New Video

If you’ve been keeping up with Kilo Kish’s Instagram, you might have noticed that, a few months ago, the young Los Angeles-based artist posted a video of her rouging the face of a Muppet-like puppet (with Chanel blush, no less). At the time Kish presented her new friend without any context. But — with the release of a music video she directed for her new song “Bite Me”—the purpose of Kish's puppet body double has become clear.

The video shows Kish taking the stage in a rosy satin dress to perform her new song, “Bite Me,” in front of an audience of crude muppet judges. Later on, she does a costume change into a leopard print Batsheva dress and dances with some sock puppets, after which she transforms into a muppet herself—the miniature, puppetized version of Kish is also dressed in a doll-sized version of the very same dress. Batsheva isn’t quite the standard pageant or talent show uniform, but Kish (and her mini-me puppet) make it look like the natural choice.
