Kim Cattrall is bringing Samantha back to “Sex and the City.”

The actress will make a cameo during the second season of the sequel series “And Just Like That...,” Variety reported.

Cattrall is reportedly set to appear in one scene as Samantha Jones, during which the character speaks over the phone with Carrie Bradshaw, portrayed by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Parker and other co-stars weren’t present when Cattrall recorded the scene in New York earlier this year, according to Variety. Cattrall, 66, hasn’t publicly commented on the return.

The PR titan Samantha was a central character during the original run of “Sex and the City” from 1998 to 2004 and in two movies. Cattrall, however, didn’t return with co-stars Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis for “And Just Like That...,” which premiered last year.

A feud between Cattrall and Parker has garnered considerable attention in recent years, with Variety reporting the spat began with Cattrall leaving the franchise. Cattrall has described feeling unsatisfied with a proposed story line for her character in what would’ve been a third “Sex and the City” movie.

I would have preferred for all of us to have some kind of event to warrant a third film,” Cattrall told Variety last year. “That didn’t happen. But also, I was ready. And this is exactly what I wished for: to be in different places playing different characters because I’m a character actress.”

Cattrall’s “And Just Like That...” cameo will reportedly air during an August episode. The series returns June 22 on the Max streaming service.
