Kim Kardashian Broke Social Distancing to See Kylie Jenner
In the last weeks, Kylie Jenner has been taking social distancing seriously, often sharing pics and posts of herself hunkered down at home. However, it looks like she and sister Kim Kardashian West recently broke the rules when Kim came over to get her makeup done by Kylie.
Kim spilled the beans about the sisters’ slip-up on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on March 30, when she stopped by for a virtual visit. She told Jimmy that she was filming from her mom Kris Jenner's "glam room," saying, "I'm in my mom's glam room. Kylie did my makeup and my hair. I don't have anyone to do it and I'm not that good, so she did all my makeup." Which, umm, is not good at all.
By coming over to get her makeup done, Kim and Kylie basically broke the shelter-in-place rules mandated by the state of California. California has been under the order since March 19, and the rules sat that citizens can only go out for essential activities like doctor's appointments or grocery store trips, which means no hangouts with friends and family.
Aside from her “sneak” glam-session visit, Kim shared that the super-close Kardashian-Jenner clan has been following the rules and keeping their distance from one another. Even though they live near each other and are always hanging out, they've been doing Zoom dinners and depending on FaceTime and group chats to get by. “I was so impressed and that's the first time I've seen her.... The whole family is distancing, so we haven't even seen each other," she told Jimmy.
Kim also talked about her visit to Kylie on another virtual appearance, this time on The View. "We’re all really taking this extremely seriously. We haven’t seen any sisters,” she said. “It was just really good to see Kylie this morning just even for a second when she was doing my makeup." Mmm.
Even though both Kim and Kylie broke the rules, it does sound like, for the most part, the sisters are doing their part to slow the spread of COVID-19. "We really are respecting the rules and do what we gotta do to help fight this virus," Kim said. And while that might be true, one of the most important things you can do is stay home…for good. So hopefully there are no glam sessions on Kim and Kylie’s calendar in the near future!
