Kim Kardashian lands debut lead movie role

After earning praise for her ruthless publicist role in American Horror Story: Delicate, Kim Kardashian is now set to star as the lead in an upcoming movie.

The reality TV star and shapewear entrepreneur will star in comedy The 5th Wheel, with comedian Paula Pell co-penning the script with Janine Brito. Kardashian will also serve as producer together with Pell (via Deadline).

Kardashian has appeared in some films prior to having her big lead role debut, including 2008's spoof comedy Disaster Movie and two PAW Patrol films, in which she lends her voice to poodle Delores.

Kardashian stars as publicist Siobhan Corbyn in the latest season of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's American Horror Story.

An adaptation of Danielle Valentine's book Delicate Condition, the season follows Emma Roberts as Anna Victoria Alcott, an actress who's struggling to conceive a child with her husband, Dex Harding (Matt Czuchry).

Alongside Kardashian, Roberts and Czuchry, the new season sees an ensemble of AHS veterans and newcomers rounding out the cast. The run is split into two parts, with the first half having premiered on September 20.

Meanwhile, Kardashian continues appearing on Disney+'s reality show The Kardashians, where she's recently revealed she's looking for an age-appropriate partner.

On a football tour in Europe with her son Saint, his friends and their mums, Kim announced she's on the hunt for a 40-something following the end of her relationships with Pete Davidson.

"I have age limits, guys," Kardashian told her pals on the trip. "I need just a little bit more age appropriate. I need like 40s..."

American Horror Story and The Kardashians season 4 are currently streaming on Disney+.
