Kim Kardashian organized a Zoom call for different celebrities who wanted to ask Dr. Anthony Fauci questions about coronavirus.

According to Fauci, he spoke with Kardashian and a number of celebrities, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom and 2 Chainz, in early April and came away impressed with their questions.

“It was a whole bunch of movie stars and some sports figures and they wanted to know about what they could do to stay safe, about wearing masks and avoiding crowds," Dr. Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told CNN. "I was impressed by the questions they asked, by their level of sophistication.”

Fauci added that it was important that these people received accurate information they would be comfortable sharing on social media.

“Each of them has enormous numbers of followers on their social media accounts. I could say to them, for example, it’s important to wear a mask, and they get on their accounts and say ‘wear a mask’ and it goes out to an additional couple of million people," Dr. Fauci said.

The U.S. became the first country to reach 10 million coronavirus cases Monday and has recorded more than 237,000 deaths after averaging nearly 110,000 cases a day over the last two weeks.

Pfizer announced Monday that its initial data from its coronavirus vaccine trial showed at least 90% effectiveness.
