Kim Kardashian Owes Kris Jenner for Getting Her to Quit Ecstasy for Good

If there’s anyone Kim Kardashian owes for her straight-laced ways when it comes to drug and alcohol use, it’s her mama, Kris Jenner.

Last month, the 38-year-old shocked us all when she revealed during an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians that she experimented with ecstasy in the past, and it led to her making some pretty poor life decisions. Now weeks later, during an appearance on Sunday’s episode of Busy Tonight, the beauty mogul shared that her mother’s reaction is the reason why she hasn’t touched party drugs in forever.

“So I would come home and be like, ‘Oh my god, mom, I did ecstasy last night,’” Kardashian revealed. “She was like, ‘You one day, you’re not going to be able to have babies, you can’t do this, you’re going to ruin yourself!’”

Not surprisingly, Kris was "so upset" when her second daughter revealed she was, you know, taking party drugs. “[Kris] never did drugs, so she was just so upset thinking that I was going to turn into something, you know, and just be this crazy drug addict,” she said. “And I was just like, ‘You know what? She’s so right, I’m so over it. Like, this is so not me. And I just never did anything.’”

Back in November, Kardashian revealed to Scott Disick and Kendall Jenner that she was high on ecstasy when she got married for the first time to music producer Damon Thomas at 19, as well as when she made her infamous 2003 sex tape with then-boyfriend Ray J.

Jenner’s words obviously left quite an impact on the KKW beauty founder given her abstinence from alcohol and drugs, or even partying for that matter. Kardashian told Phillips that her clean lifestyle is probably why many people found her wild past so shocking in the first place.

“People that were close to me, that obviously know that life of mine, they’re like, ‘I can’t believe that you said that.’ And I was like, ‘Well, I mean, I never really hide anything,’” Kardashian said. “[I think] it’s just weird to people that I’ve done ecstasy but I don’t drink, I don’t smoke weed, I don’t do anything. So it’s weird to have done that.”
