No, you did not travel back in time, Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton just reunited for a trip down memory lane—and documented the whole thing on social media.
The pair proved they're still BFFs after hanging out in Los Angeles, California, on September 18. “We’re just hanging out, just a fun day, me and Paris,” Kardashian explained on Instagram. “If you haven’t seen her documentary on YouTube, you guys should check it out. Um, that’s it!”
In the clip, the reality stars wore coordinating outfits, with Kardashian in a bronze look and hoop earrings and Hilton in a rose gold dress and pink sunglasses. In one of the videos that Kardashian posted on Instagram Stories, the pair even whipped out the exact Louis Vuitton bags they wore in all their paparazzi photos. (You know the metallic gold and silver ones? Yep, so so iconic.)
“So of course if I’m hanging out with Paris today, we need to carry our favorite bags. These bags have been in our lives for a very long time and they mean so much to us,” Kardashian said.
The reminiscing didn't end there. Hilton also shared a video on TikTok, confidently writing, “Invented the 2000’s," before adding her signature catchphrase “That's hot.”
"Cuties! We're like opposite twins," Kardashian says in another Instagram video, while they pose for the camera. “I know, I love it!” Hilton responds with a giggle.
For a little long time, it seemed like the reality stars were no longer on speaking terms. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar in 2011, the Skims founder confirmed they had grown apart.
“We don't really talk. As I always say, everyone comes into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. And she was in my life for a long time," Kardashian explained. "There comes a point in life where you just grow apart and you realize you're not as similar as you thought. And I never run into her anywhere. Isn't that so weird?"
Around 2018, the pair found their away back to one another, with Hilton even posing as Kardashian for Yeezy Season 6.
In fact, Kim Kardashian even credits Paris Hilton for launching her career in a 2019 episode of E! True Hollywood Story. "I really am grateful for my experiences with her…She’s a huge, huge reason of my success," the reality star said, calling the Simple Life star her “mentor.”
