  • On Monday, the company behind Covergirl, O.P.I, and Gucci, spent $600 million on a majority stake in Kylie Cosmetics.

  • So far, the only one of Kylie Jenner’s sisters to publicly congratulate her is Kim Kardashian.

Over the past decade, Kylie Jenner has hardly been able to stay out of the headlines. Since she was 10, she’s been in the public eye for her occasionally awkward pre-teen appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, for her ‘year of just realising stuff’ and let’s face it, the evolving volume of her lips.

Things began to shift in 2015 when she founded Kylie Cosmetics. She’s since made the passage from being MVP of the gossip rags to being regarded as ‘the future of shopping’. Talk about a girl who can do both.

In the first 18 months of business, Kylie Cosmetics generated $420 million in revenue. In early 2018, she caused Snapchat’s stock to plummet by $1.3 billion by simply disapproving of the app’s redesign. Now, the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sister - and the world’s youngest billionaire - is back in the business headlines for her recent financial movements.

On Monday, it was announced that Coty, the company behind Covergirl, O.P.I, and Gucci, spent $600 million on a 51% stake in Kylie Cosmetics.

Considering this puts the total value of Kylie’s company at nearly $1.2 billion, you’d think the messages of congratulations from the Kardashian-Jenner family would be pouring in.

So far, only Kim Kardashian has publicly acknowledged the youngest Jenner's big news... but only because she was asked about it in an interview.

"I'm so proud of her," Kim told Entertainment Tonight.

"To think in her early 20s, she built a business off of something that she first was insecure about and finding confidence and, you know, just tapping into that and figuring out how to make an amazing product and just being true to herself and doing what she loves to do, that's so inspiring and so amazing and I'm so proud of her."

Thanks, big sis.

However, from Kendall to Caitlyn, no other family members have even acknowledged the huge sale. Not even with a Boomerang of one of 'em rolling on a bed of ca$h.

They’ve all been active on social media, so what gives? Kourtney has been addressing the mum-shamers on her Twitter, while Rob has been posting a whole lot of sports content on his. Kim has been SKIMming up her Instagram and mama Kris has been preaching the word of Jesus Christ on hers.

It’s just so strange. Suspicious, even. We recall when the family kept quiet about Kylie’s pregnancy, waiting for the big reveal. So perhaps they’re up to something similar this time?

Of course, it’s likely the siblings have congratulated Kylie offline. But in the same way we can’t say Happy Mother’s Day without a Facebook devotion, or celebrate our best pal’s birthday without an Instagram story, did it really happen if you didn’t post about it on social media?
