Kimmel says Trump holiday party would have been like 'Game of Thrones' Red Wedding.

I guess there are some traditions that just aren't meant to last. And it's probably no shock to anyone that President Donald Trump got rid of a holiday tradition that allows members of the media and members of the White House staff to see one another as human beings (instead of contentious rivals) once a year.

Trump decided to cancel this year's White House holiday party for the media. The administration stated that reporters would still be able to take tours of the White House to look at holiday decorations, but the festivities are a no-go.

Probably the safe thing to do, says late-night comic Jimmy Kimmel. How would the president avoid awkward moments with a group he's categorized as the "enemies of the people"? It could only end one way, and a "Game of Thrones" bloody massacre comes to mind. Take a look at today's Best of Late Night for more of Kimmel's take.

James Corden questions whether the president actually canceled the party. And Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers talk other things Christmas including a funny smelling log and the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.
