Kind People Who Stopped Their Car to Save a Sheep in Distress Hope to Inspire Others to Do the Same
The sheep could've died if they hadn't intervened.
There are some people who will go out of their way to help an animal. These are our favorite type of people. Just take a look at the lengths that TikTok creator Jasmine O'Kane (@jasmineokane) went to after spotting a sheep in need. We wish more people were like her!
O'Kane shared what happened in a video that's since gone viral. "Today I learned that sheep can’t get themselves up and can die," she wrote in the video's caption.

The footage shows O'Kane running to the little guy's rescue after spotting him on his side while driving by. The TikToker is our absolute hero for both stopping to save the animal, but managing to get him back on his feet.
With over 786,000 views, people in the comments section were cheering O'Kane on for doing the right thing. "Need more people like you. I’d be so grateful if someone did this for one of mine," @aliciainghamxx praised. "Thank you for doing that, we had an ewe growing up that died from her falling on her back overnight. Her name was Clover," @savageflowerstudios shared. "Well done. I always look at sheep in a field and help if I see this," @bigalsv8 added.
Although one commenter made a suggestion that everyone should follow in case you're thinking about trying this for yourself. "Never sideways!! It is possible that if the sheep had been longer on its back it could be that its stomach twisted," @justinkruiper advised. He then added that you should place the sheep on its bottom so that the sheep can rest and its stomach won't twist. Then try and move it upright. Good to know!
