Kindergarten registration opens

Apr. 1—GUILFORD COUNTY — Parents of children who will be 5 years old by Aug. 31 are now eligible to enroll their children for the upcoming school year.

To register for Guilford County Schools, go online to gcsnc.schoolmint.net. Parents will want to gather several documents, including the child's birth certificate, health records and proof of residence to determine the assigned school.

On April 12-16, the school system will host a week of kindergarten information events, including virtual open houses, parent information sessions and videos to show families what kindergarten will be like. More details will be available at gcsnc.com.
