King County Clinic offering free dental, vision, medical from April 27-30

The Seattle/King County Clinic is offering free dental, vision, and medical care from April 27-30 at the Seattle Center.

“All are welcome!” said the clinic. “For anyone in need who struggles with access and/or afford healthcare.”

Patients do not need ID or proof of immigration status and do not have to be residents of King County. There will also be an interpreter provided.

There are a limited number of admission tickets that will be distributed at 5:30 a.m. in the Fisher Pavilion at the Seattle Center on the corner of 2nd Avenue North and Lenny Wilkens Way. There is no advance registration, it is first-come first-served, said the clinic. There will be free parking at the Mercer Street Garage at 650 3rd Avenue North.

The free services include:

  • Dental - fillings, extractions, x-rays, deep cleanings.

  • Vision - vision screening, complete eye exams, reading, and prescription eyeglasses. The clinic says to bring a current eyeglass prescription, no older than two years, to skip the eye exam, and just get eyeglasses.

  • Medical - physical exams, x-rays, mammograms, ultrasounds, select lab tests, immunizations, foot and wound care, dermatology, physical and occupational therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic care, behavioral health, and more.

Attendees cannot get dental and vision on the same day, but patients can wait in line for an admission ticket on another day for additional services.

The clinic asks that people not attend if they are feeling sick, as patients will go through a health screening and anyone with flu or COVID-like symptoms will not be admitted. Also, to come prepared for a long day with food, comfortable clothing, and any daily medications. Masks are required.

“These four days were a haven of humanity and compassion at its best. The message to me was very clear, hope in a hurting world. Thank you for that hope and easing my suffering and the suffering of so many people in need,” said a clinic patient.
