Kings Island’s WinterFest is back beginning Friday evening.
The annual holiday tradition, which runs from Nov. 26 through Dec. 31, was voted in 2021 as one of the top Theme Park Holiday Events in the country by USA TODAY readers. There are 11 winter wonderlands at the park during Winterfest.
Features include ice skating on the Royal Fountain, the Eiffel Tower turned into a magical Christmas tree, the WinterFest Wonderland Parade, more than five million lights, 20 rides including Mystic Timbers and Kinds Mills Antique Autos and more than a dozen live shows spread throughout the park.
There are also special activities, such as Sally Brown's Christmas Crafts and Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree Lot for youngsters and, for an additional cost, Jack Frost's Igloo Village along International Street and Mrs. Claus' Kitchen where you can decorate Christmas cooking.
There's a mobile app to help you track live performances and plan your visit.
The park is open for WinterFest from 5-10 p.m. Friday, and from 4-10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The park will open daily from Dec. 19-31, excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It will be open until 1 a.m. on New Year's Eve. More details and tickets are available at visitkingsisland.com.
