Well after the Sacramento Kings had lost, rookie Tyrese Haliburton was seen on the court of the Golden 1 Center putting up shots trying to forget about the result that had just occurred versus the Los Angeles Clippers.

Haliburton produced only five points, five assists and one steal during the 138-100 loss on Friday night. He went just 2-of-7 from the field, with one of those makes coming from 3-point range in 24 minutes of work off the bench for the Kings.

The five points scored by Haliburton marked his second-lowest output of the season, behind the two points scored on Dec. 26 in just his second game. He certainly wasn’t satisfied with the result on Friday and opted to get up some extra shots, as captured by James Ham of NBC Sports California.

The Kings managed to keep it close in the first half, trailing by only eight points heading into halftime, but the wheels fell off in the third quarter when Sacramento trailed by as many as 33 points.

After a 3-1 start to the season, the Kings have since gone 2-7 and have struggled on defense. They are dead-last in defense on the season, and are nearly five points per 100 possessions worse than the Chicago Bulls in 29th place.

Sacramento has certainly struggled after a promising start and is looking to get back on track. Haliburton has emerged as a bright spot to this point of the season, but there hasn’t been much else worth celebrating.
