De’Aaron Fox’s status remains uncertain as the Kings prepare to play the Washington Wizards on Monday at Golden 1 Center.

The All-NBA point guard missed Saturday’s 125-104 win over the Utah Jazz due to an injury that is being described as right shoulder irritation. Second-year forward Keegan Murray poured in a career-high 47 points in a record-setting performance to lead the Kings to victory despite the absence of Fox.

The Kings (15-9) will play the Wizards (4-21) in the third game of a six-game homestand. They will face the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Phoenix Suns on Friday and Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday.

The Wizards will come to Sacramento on the second night of a back-to-back after suffering a 112-108 loss to the Suns on Sunday in Phoenix. Washington beat the Indiana Pacers 137-123 on Friday to snap a six-game losing streak.

Scouting Sacramento

The Kings are coming off back-to-back wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder and Jazz. They have won four of their last five and seven of 10.

Sacramento is fifth in the Western Conference, four games behind the conference-leading Minnesota Timberwolves. The Kings are a season-high six games over .500, something they didn’t achieve until Game 42 on Jan. 15 last season.

Fox is averaging 30.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists. He is sixth in the NBA in scoring.

Domantas Sabonis is averaging 18.5 points, 12.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He is third in the NBA in rebounding.

Murray is averaging 15.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. He made 12 of 15 from 3-point range in Saturday’s win over Utah, raising his 3-point percentage 30.4% to 35.7%.

Scouting Washington

The Wizards are led by Kyle Kuzma, who is averaging 23.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists while shooting 37.1% from 3-point range.

Jordan Poole is averaging 17.0 points in his first season with the Wizards, but his efficiency has dropped to 41.5% shooting from the field and 30.4% shooting from beyond the arc. Deni Avdija (11.8 ppg), Corey Kispert (11.4 ppg), Tyus Jones (11.2 ppg) and Daniel Gafford (10.0 ppg) are also scoring in double figures.

The Wizards won’t submit an injury report until Monday because they played Sunday, but Johnny Davis (calf), Landry Shamet (rib) and Delon Wright (knee) were out against the Suns.
