“I’ve been a lifelong gamer,” said Travis Sensabaugh, park and recreation administrator. “Like I told them, I’ll be 49 this year and I’ve played games my whole life. My family plays games, so I just wanted to offer something for the community, just to have families come out and just have some fun and play some Fortnite.”

The event was originally scheduled for Jan. 19 but was postponed to Jan. 26 due to the weather.

Sensabaugh said Parks and Recreation will look into holding the event again next year.
