Kingsville wildfire near King Ranch contained
The wildfire that started near King Ranch Thursday afternoon has been contained.
The fire, which spread to more than 200 acres, was 95% contained by Thursday night, according to the Texas Wildlife Incident Response System. An update stated the fire was 100% contained by noon on Friday.
It's still not yet clear how the fire started.

Kleberg County Judge Rudy Madrid enlisted help from the Texas Department of Emergency Management, which sent a taskforce from Beeville to get ahead of the blaze.
Emergency crews responded to another fire in Jim Wells County, near FM 1352 and County Road 384. The fire, called Floyd by the Texas Wildlife Incident Response System, was estimated to have spread more than 200 acres. That fire was also contained by noon on Friday.
