The biggest argument among Minnesota football fans likely revolves around quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Cousins was supposed to be the missing piece for the Vikings when they signed him after making a run to the NFC Championship. Since, the team has made just one playoff appearance in three seasons. While Cousins’ numbers are always solid, they don’t always reflect wins, which is kind of the Kirk Cousins Story.

In his latest quarterback tier rankings over at CBS Sports, Jason La Canfora has Cousins in Tier 4 with the likes of Derek Carr, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Carson Wentz.

Here’s a bit of what La Canfora wrote about Cousins:

(Derek) Carr and Cousins have made their bones here for a while. And here they stay; both those teams continue to have one wandering eye for other QBs and the Vikings just took their possible replacement for Cousins in the draft.

While I’m not super high on Cousins, having him and Fitzpatrick in the same tier seems weird.

To round out the NFC North, Aaron Rodgers is it Tier 1, Jared Goff is in Tier 5 and Andy Dalton is in Tier 6.
