Kirsten Collier, Adam Parsley, Scott King and Barbara Miller win NLCS seats

Lawrence County residents have been voting for weeks for the 2022 general election that culminated Tuesday as more than 6,700 registered voters cast ballots on the actual day of the election.

According to numbers released by the county, there were 6,743 votes cast Tuesday, 4,881 ballots cast as walk-in absentee votes and 1,376 ballots cast as paper absentee.

This means a total of 13,000 Lawrence County residents cast their ballots out of 33,349 registered voters — a 39% turnout.

Sidney Carlile, an employe with the Lawrence County Elections Office, said the results will not be final until 10 days after the election.

North Lawrence Community School Board

District 1, includes precincts of Indian Creek North, Indian Creek South and Spice Valley North.
