Kiski Area School District continues to operate virtually due to water main break

Due to ongoing water issues, the Kiski Area School District will continue to operate virtually on Tuesday.

Students are advised to log into Google Classroom to receive instruction.

A spokesman for the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County said there have been issues repairing the break, which occurred Sunday afternoon. The break was repaired early Monday morning, but when the water was turned back on, something else broke, so repairs are again being made.

Bottled water is available for residents at the McDonald’s behind the old Kmart in the Hyde Park Plaza.
