Nov. 12—AUGUSTA — A concert on the Top Golf green isn't something you see every day.

The Kisner Foundation, created by Aiken professional golfer Kevin Kisner and his wife, Brittany, hosted its annual fundraising event at Top Golf in Augusta for a variety of philanthropic causes, including children's literacy, health and sports.

Augusta native and member of Lady A Charles Kelley, Darius Rucker and Whiskey Run performed at the charity event on Nov. 11.

"We are excited that we get the support of the community. Obviously, I never dreamed that I would have been as successful as I have been in my career, and we are truly honored that people support us in the fashion that we have philanthropic vision and people appreciate it," Kevin Kisner said. "We are glad to be here. We are glad to see so many people supporting us, and we are pretty good at throwing parties so we like to hang out with people."

Aiming to raise a half a million dollars, the Kisners have been hosting their annual fundraising event for six years.

The couple through their foundation have invested $5.3 million dollars to help create a pediatric behavioral health and wellness center at the Children's Hospital of Georgia as well as creating a literacy program, Tee Up to Read, for preschool children in Aiken county. The foundation also provides grants to qualifying organizations.

The Kisners are happy to bring resources for youth to all parts of the CSRA.

"This is such a fun night and it's really cool to do this at Top Golf this year," Brittany Kisner said. "They have been great partners and to have Darius and Charles and show up for charity, it is really amazing and we are honored."
