Kiss announces it will bring its farewell tour to Crandon

Legendary rock 'n' roll band Kiss is bringing what it says is its final tour to Crandon.

The Wisconsin stop was one of three more cities announced by the band June 1 on Facebook to its KISS End of the World Tour. The Forest County Chamber subsequently posted on Facebook that it will be Sept. 1 at the Crandon International Raceway.

Tickets for the two other concert dates – in Cincinnati and Cleveland – announced on the band's post went on sale June 9. However, the band's official website still hadn't listed the Crandon stop on its tour itinerary.

In 2019, Crandon International Raceway hosted Kid Rock for a concert during its Crandon World Championship Off-Road Races. In that Friday event, the Kid Rock concert ticket was paired with admission to the day's races.

The Sept. 1 performance falls on a Friday during this year's championship event, so while an official announcement hasn't been made, it seems possible that organizers may roll out sales the same way.

The Crandon date would be a one-off in their tour schedule as their previous date is listed to be a July 15 concert in Norway followed by an Oct. 7 concert in Australia.

Kiss was formed in New York City in 1973 by members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley and Peter Criss. The current lineup includes Stanley, Simmons, guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
